Designed for compressed air foam systems, Knockdown foam improves water penetration and heat absorption capacity, enabling fast and effective fire suppression. It remains stable in pre-mixed solutions for over 30 days, is compatible with various water sources, and contains no alcohol-based components. Ideal for Class A/B foam systems, Knockdown reduces water’s surface tension, enhancing penetration and fire protection.

The Knockdown foam concentrate works in two ways

First, Knockdown improves water penetration. By reducing the surface tension of ordinary water, it allows water to penetrate surfaces that would normally shed it, reaching deep-seated fires. This reduces the amount of water needed to extinguish the fire, speeding up the suppression process.

Second, Knockdown increases the heat absorption capacity of water. The foaming agents enable water to adhere to vertical surfaces, keeping it in contact with fuel longer. The longer water stays in contact with fuel, the more heat it absorbs. A Class A foam blanket can also be applied for exposure protection, preventing fuels from igniting by increasing their moisture content and forming a protective barrier against advancing flames.

🚒 Important Update for Ontario Fire Services

The Government of Canada has announced temporary six-month relief from U.S. tariffs on specific goods used by public safety organizations, including Fire Services.

What does this mean for your department?

  • No additional tariffs will apply to eligible fire equipment imported from the United States.
  • Online transactions are now live, with no tariffs added to our prices.

Why was this remission granted?
To support key sectors crucial to Canadians' health and safety — including fire departments — the Government of Canada is providing temporary customs relief.
This measure helps ensure that public safety organizations like yours have uninterrupted and affordable access to critical equipment, while offering time to adjust procurement strategies if needed.
