Description

Designed for compressed air foam systems, Responder® enhances water penetration and heat absorption, enabling quick and effective fire suppression. It remains stable in pre-mixed solutions for over 30 days, is compatible with various water sources, and contains no alcohol-based components. Ideal for Class A/B foam systems, Responder® reduces water’s surface tension, improving penetration and fire protection.

The Responder® foam concentrate works in two ways

First, Responder® improves water penetration by reducing the surface tension of ordinary water, allowing it to reach surfaces that would typically shed water, penetrating deep-seated fires. This reduces the amount of water required to extinguish the fire and speeds up suppression. Second, Responder® increases water’s heat absorption capacity. The foaming agents enable water to adhere to vertical surfaces, allowing it to remain in contact with fuel for longer. The longer water stays in contact with the fuel, the more heat it can absorb. A Class A foam coating can also be applied for exposure protection, preventing fuels from igniting by raising their moisture content and forming a solid protective barrier against advancing flames.
